Our Commitment to College Access

College is expensive. We get it. With the ²Ê¿â±¦µäapp Promise, recent high school graduates can receive up to $1,000 each year for two years. That means less focus on cost – and more on success.

To be eligible, in-state students in Durham and Orange counties must enroll in at least six credit hours of credits within a year after completing a high school diploma or high school equivalency. Due to the higher cost of out-of-state tuition, out-of-state students do not have a credit hour requirement. Disbursements are made in $500 payments per semester. Students do not need to apply. the ²Ê¿â±¦µäapp Financial Aid office will review student records and contact those who qualify.

Eligibility

Durham County: Any recent high school graduate or equivalency.

Orange County: Recent graduate of Orange High School, East Chapel Hill High School, Chapel Hill High School, Cedar Ridge High School, Carrboro High School, Partnership Academy, Phoenix Academy, or recent ²Ê¿â±¦µäapp high school equivalency graduate.
